It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Sam Motsuenyane, a revered leader and pioneer in our community. Dr. Motsuenyane departed from us on Monday, April 29th, 2024, after a valiant and prolonged battle with illness, leaving behind a legacy that will forever shape the landscape of our nation.
Dr. Motsuenyane, the Patron of the Dr. Sam Motsuenyane Foundation, and one of the founding fathers of both the African Bank and The National African Federated Chamber of Commerce (“NAFCOC”), was not only a visionary entrepreneur but also a tireless advocate for social justice and economic empowerment. His remarkable contributions to our society have left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals, inspiring hope and igniting change across our nation.
As we mourn the loss of this great leader, let us remember Dr. Motsuenyane’s unwavering commitment to integrity, compassion, and inclusivity. His legacy will continue to guide us as we strive to build a more just and equitable society for all.

The Foundation was created and designed to address the needs and challenges which presently impede the development of township and rural communities in South Africa, more especially in the agricultural sector.
The Foundations advocates for and reflects the Legacy of Dr Sam Motsuenyane’s. It also aims to develop and promote servant leadership as a leadership style that moves the rural and township economy forward and contribute towards attaining equity and ownership of means of production.
